VelopA B.V. Environmental Policy Statement
VelopA B.V. is an independent company with 100 employees. VelopA derives its right to exist from the mission to contribute to a sustainable and pleasant everyday human environment by means of a wide range of products for design of (semi-)public outdoor space.
VelopA is established in Leiderdorp (NL), Louvain (BE) and Duisburg (DE).
This Environmental Policy Statement applies to all branches.
VelopA wishes to mould internal operational management in a socially responsible manner. VelopA will substantiate this responsibility by (among other things) managing the environment carefully.
In order to achieve this, VelopA, as a learning organization, will work on improvements continuously and preventively. The safeguarding of this will be done through the environmental management system which complies with the international standard ISO 14001, on which VelopA will be tested by BVQI at the end of 2009.
The environmental management system is up-to-date, ensuring continual compliance with the requirements of environmental regulations and legislation.
This process is being monitored by the director, who has appointed an environmental coordinator for this purpose.

- creating as much environmental awareness as possible in the supplier-VelopA-customer chain
- as far as is possible, acting in a responsible manner internally so that the burden placed on the environment is kept to a minimum
- promoting ‘green’ products (e.g. recycled paper, green energy)
- assessing and, on the basis of new understanding, periodically setting environmental objectives in order to improve environmental performance continuously
- complying with regulations and legislation
